Modal Electronics Carbon8M Synthesizer
Modal Carbon8
With the CARBON8, MODAL Electronics presents an 8-voice digital synthesizer that redefines creative sound adventures. Equipped with a state-of-the-art sound engine and two oscillators with 56 digital core waveforms each, the CARBON8 opens up a wide range of unique algorithms and wavetables for sonic diversity. The 37 velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch (Fatar) enable an expressive performance. The CARBON8 supports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) with a matching controller to add even more nuances to the playing style. A razor-sharp OLED display shows the current settings of the controls and their sonic effects at all times. A total of 34 different filter types are available, including modern and vintage filters that shape the sound precisely and give it the necessary analog warmth. The CARBON8 also scores with 3 LFOs, which provide over 15 different waveforms and expand the sound design.
The powerful functions of the CARBON8 include an integrated 512-Noten-polyphonic sequencer and a flexible arpeggiator, which make it possible to creatively animate sounds and refine them with up to 26 high-quality effects simultaneously. Using the free MODALapp, all functions of the synthesizer can be conveniently edited and managed on screen. The CARBON8M is suitable for desktop operation as well as for installation in a 19'' rack. Thanks to the supplied rack ears, easy integration into existing setups is guaranteed.
